We're calling this a soft launch because . .
. . . we're not yet opening the Site to members of the public.
The Site has been set up to ensure that groups can operate in absolute confidentiality. So although there will be many public areas for visitors to explore - this is one of them - only authenticated visitors (people who have sent us a verifiable email address) will be able to apply to join member groups. And every applicant who wants to join a member group has to be individually signed in by the administrator of that group.
If you're an APPCIOS member who has been invited to the Site, you'll find that you have access to a number of private groups. This means that our admin team has created a Site account for you, and signed you in to the appropriate APPCIOS member groups. We're doing this in batches, as it takes a little time.
Once we've signed in all the APPCIOS members, we will create separate 'overview pages' for all the courses and webinar groups that we accredit and approve, as well as for the organisations that support our work.
And we want to collect all your comments and thoughts, and incorporate as many of your suggestions as we can.
Mark, our 'techie', is still working on the Site; he has identified numerous glitches that he wants to sort out, and many small improvements he wants to make.
We're very proud of what we've achieved so far, but none of us wants to go public until still more has been achieved.
